The Old School Lofts

The Old School Lofts, known locally as the Mary Innes School, was built in 1920, and functioned as an elementary school for nearly a century. It was designed by the noted Montana Architect, Fred Fielding Wilson. Wilson designed many buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

When the local elementary school moved elsewhere, the Mary Innes was renovated into offices and loft apartments. Each loft is furnished and has a new luxury kitchen and bathroom, TV and high-speed internet, new hardwood floors, private entry, laundry room, high ceilings, and retains architectural touches of the original school.

Do you want to stay in a spacious, eclectic, and luxurious setting with local history and character? Give The Old School Lofts a try-  it can be your home away from home.

Nightly rentals and longer-term leases are available.

  • Great getaway location - 5/5 Stars “We really enjoyed our weekend in the Mary Innes Loft. This is a really neat restoration of an old schoolhouse. There was plenty of room to not feel cramped, very nice finishes, and a comfy bed. It is close to everything so it was very convenient. We will definitely look to stay here again the next time we are in Dillon.”

  • Wonderful Place in the Perfect Part of Town - 5/5 Stars “I stayed at the Loft for 3 weeks in May 2018. It is a great space. Very open with lots of windows, a nice bathroom, great kitchen that is fully stocked with all the appliances you might need and a lovely bedroom. There are laundry units and a mud room to keep your shoes and coats in. There were also a lot of unique details from when this was a schoolhouse that really recreates the history of building. I felt very safe staying by myself. There is one door with a key that gets you into the building and another that gets you into your place with double locks. It is also in the perfect part of town. You can walk to almost anywhere in the town in just a few blocks. I walked over to the brewery a couple times and to a cute coffee shop as well. Great location if you are a runner as well. I took a few runs and bike rides all over the area. John and his team were great! They checked in on my by text to see how everything was going and would fix it immediately if I had a concern. Thanks for the great stay! If I am ever back in Dillon I will definitely be staying there again.”

  • Best place to stay in Dillon - 5/5 Stars “This lovely apartment is in downtown Dillon. We had 4 people staying in the two bedroom place. It is roomy, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you may need, including beautiful Mikasa dinnerware. We were in contact with the person who delivered the keys to us and we did not have to wait. The building is locked at night (as well as the apt door), so we felt super safe. (Not that there is much to worry about safety-wise in Dillon!) I've stayed in 2 different hotels near town, I am so happy I found this gem. If you need to go to Dillon, give this a try! You will be happy you did.”
